TRC-20 Bridge
Questions Answered
Everything you need to know about bridging TRC-20 tokens from TRON.
What is Bridge TRX? +
Bridge TRX (bridge-trx.com) is a cross-chain bridge protocol that enables fast, secure transfers of TRC-20 tokens from the TRON blockchain to 12 other major blockchain networks including Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, XRP Ledger, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, and more. It is fully non-custodial and secured by MPC and Zero-Knowledge proofs.
Which TRC-20 tokens can I bridge from TRON? +
Bridge TRX supports all major TRC-20 tokens including USDT TRC-20 (the most popular), USDC TRC-20, TRX (native TRON token), SUN, WIN, JST, BTT, and 50+ more TRC-20 tokens. Assets are automatically converted to the native token standard of the destination blockchain upon arrival.
Which destination blockchains are supported? +
Bridge TRX currently supports 12 destination blockchains from TRON TRC-20: Ethereum (ERC-20), Bitcoin (BRC-20 / native), Solana (SPL), XRP Ledger, BNB Chain (BEP-20), Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Avalanche (C-Chain), TON, and Sui. New chains are added quarterly through community governance.
How long does a TRC-20 bridge transfer take? +
Average bridge times vary by destination: XRP Ledger ~4s, Sui ~18s, TON ~22s, Solana ~28s, BNB Chain ~30s, Polygon ~35s, Avalanche ~35s, Optimism ~38s, Ethereum ~45s, Base ~42s, Arbitrum ~40s, Bitcoin ~12 minutes (Bitcoin confirmation time). The overall average across all routes is 38 seconds — making Bridge TRX the fastest TRC-20 cross-chain bridge available.
What fees does Bridge TRX charge for TRC-20 transfers? +
Bridge TRX charges a flat 0.1% fee on most routes (0.15% for Bitcoin transfers due to higher network costs). There are no hidden fees or gas surprises. TRON's near-zero transaction costs on the source side mean your effective cost is among the lowest of any cross-chain bridge.
Is Bridge TRX non-custodial and safe? +
Yes. Bridge TRX is 100% non-custodial — your TRC-20 tokens are locked in open-source, audited smart contracts and only released to your specified destination address. Bridge TRX has no access to your private keys and cannot redirect your funds. The protocol has facilitated over $3.1 billion in cross-chain volume without a single security incident.
How is my TRC-20 bridge transfer secured? +
Every TRC-20 transfer uses two layers of security: Multi-Party Computation (MPC) where bridge keys are split across 15+ independent validator nodes, and Zero-Knowledge Proofs where the destination chain independently verifies the TRON source state before releasing assets. This means no single party can forge or redirect a transfer.
Can I bridge USDT TRC-20 to Ethereum? +
Yes, bridging USDT TRC-20 to Ethereum ERC-20 is one of the most popular routes on Bridge TRX, with over $820M in daily volume. The transfer converts your USDT TRC-20 on TRON directly to USDT ERC-20 on Ethereum, arriving at your Ethereum wallet address in approximately 45 seconds with a 0.1% fee.
Can I bridge TRC-20 tokens to Bitcoin? +
Yes. Bridge TRX supports bridging USDT and TRX from TRON to the Bitcoin network. USDT is bridged as a BRC-20 compatible token on Bitcoin, while TRX is converted to native BTC. Bitcoin transfers take approximately 12 minutes due to Bitcoin's block confirmation requirements and carry a 0.15% fee. This is the only TRC-20 to Bitcoin bridge with institutional-grade security.
Do I need to have ETH, BNB, or SOL to receive tokens on the destination chain? +
For most destination chains, Bridge TRX includes a small amount of native gas tokens (ETH, BNB, SOL, etc.) in your bridge output — enough to perform your first transaction on the destination chain. This "gas airdrop" removes the friction of needing to acquire gas tokens separately before using your bridged assets. The amount is automatically calculated based on current destination gas prices.
What wallets do I need to use Bridge TRX? +
On the TRON side, you need a TRON-compatible wallet: TronLink (recommended), TokenPocket, or Trust Wallet. For the destination side, you need a wallet that supports the destination network (MetaMask for EVM chains, Phantom for Solana, XUMM for XRP, etc.). Bridge TRX also supports WalletConnect for broad mobile wallet compatibility.
Is there a minimum or maximum amount I can bridge? +
Minimum bridge amounts vary by route: $10 equivalent for EVM chains (ETH, BNB, Polygon, etc.), $50 for Solana and XRP, and $100 for Bitcoin. Maximum single-transaction limits are $2M for stablecoins and $500K for native tokens. Users needing to bridge larger amounts can split across multiple transactions or contact the team for OTC arrangements.
Can I track my TRC-20 bridge transfer in real time? +
Yes. Every Bridge TRX transfer generates a tracking page with three transaction hashes: the TRON source transaction, the relayer confirmation transaction, and the destination chain receipt transaction. You can monitor each step in real time directly from the Bridge TRX dashboard. Average transfer confirmation time is 38 seconds.
What happens if my bridge transfer gets stuck? +
Transfers rarely get stuck, but if they do, Bridge TRX has automatic retry logic that reattempts delivery every 60 seconds for up to 30 minutes. If a transfer cannot complete after 30 minutes (e.g., due to severe destination chain congestion), it is automatically refunded in full to the source TRON wallet within 1 hour. You can also contact support for manual intervention.
How does Bridge TRX handle slippage on TRC-20 bridges? +
Bridge TRX uses pre-funded liquidity pools on all destination chains to ensure you always receive the exact quoted amount for stablecoin bridges (USDT, USDC). For native token bridges (TRX to ETH, SOL, etc.), slippage tolerance is set to 0.5% by default and can be adjusted to 1% or 2% in bridge settings for low-liquidity pairs.
Has Bridge TRX been audited? +
Yes. Bridge TRX has been independently audited by four top-tier blockchain security firms: CertiK (score 97/100, March 2024), PeckShield (zero critical issues, May 2024), Hacken (A+ rating, July 2024), and Trail of Bits (clear, October 2024). All audit reports are publicly available and linked from the Bridge TRX documentation.
Is there a governance token for Bridge TRX? +
Yes. BTRX is the governance token of the Bridge TRX protocol. BTRX holders vote on new chain integrations, fee parameter changes, liquidity allocation, and protocol upgrades through on-chain governance. BTRX is distributed to early and active users through a liquidity mining program tied to bridge volume.
Can I bridge TRC-20 tokens to XRP Ledger? +
Yes. Bridging to XRP Ledger (XRPL) is one of the fastest routes — approximately 4 seconds end-to-end thanks to XRPL's 3-5 second finality. USDT TRC-20 is issued as a wrapped USDT on XRPL, and TRX is converted to native XRP. You'll need an XRPL-compatible wallet such as XUMM or Ledger to receive bridged assets.
What is the total volume Bridge TRX has processed? +
Bridge TRX has processed over $3.1 billion in total TRC-20 cross-chain volume since launch, with $920M currently held in protocol liquidity pools across all 12 destination chains. The protocol handles approximately $2.5–3B in monthly volume, with USDT TRC-20 accounting for roughly 65% of all bridge transfers.
How do I get started bridging TRC-20 tokens? +
Getting started takes under 2 minutes: (1) Visit bridge-trx.com and click "Connect Wallet"; (2) Connect your TronLink or compatible TRON wallet; (3) In the bridge widget, select the TRC-20 asset you want to send (USDT, TRX, etc.); (4) Choose your destination blockchain from the 12 available options; (5) Enter the amount and confirm the transaction. Your assets arrive at the destination in under 60 seconds on most routes.
